At Global Roots Academy, our mission is to support the education of BIPOC children in the US with an inclusive and empowering learning environment that fosters cultural and linguistic diversity, promotes wellness and social-emotional growth, instills empathy, and encourages curiosity about the world around them.
We are committed to engaging and inspiring young learners through immersive experiences that expose them to new and dynamic cultures, cuisines, landscapes, and languages, enabling them to broaden their perspectives, embrace their own identities, and build meaningful connections with others. We strive to develop well-rounded individuals who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to thrive in a multicultural, globalized world, and who are equipped to become positive agents of change in their communities and beyond.

What Is Global Roots Academy?
Global Roots Academy is a learning adventure rooted in travel and culture. Our program is designed to provide children with a fun, comprehensive and engaging experience that expands their knowledge of the world, offers virtual travel, and develops empathy and awareness towards other places and cultures.
Global Roots Academy is not a school, but it is the perfect addition to any child's educational journey. We are a not-for-profit educational program (awaiting 501(c)(3) status), that draws inspiration from an innovative schooling method known as "world schooling." This method involves children exploring the world firsthand, gaining invaluable knowledge about the places and cultures they encounter through travel. Our program adds a unique virtual spin to world schooling, offering immersive learning resources focused on travel, language acquisition, and culture appreciation. No matter the educational environment your child is in, our program introduces a unique aspect that enriches their educational experience in a special way.
Our units are the core of our program. As units are released, each one will explore a different Country, State, City, Town, Village, Region in world or travel related topic. Each unit length varies from 2 -12 weeks, each week unlocking a new set of adventures and activities to explore. Students will delve deep into culture, customs, geography, wildlife and more in a fun and interactive way as they follow along in each available units. With activities like videos, songs, activity sheets, and live lessons, our program caters to different learning styles and interests. Students can also complete activities at their own pace, fostering individual growth. Our goal is to promote curiosity and provide an in-depth understanding of the different wonders and diversities of the world we live in. In addition to units, students gain access to travel and culture-related content, exciting giveaways and contests, special live classes, low cost additional courses, scholarship opportunities and a vibrant community.

Enroll My Child?
The recommended age is 4 - 12 years old, however, age is no barrier in our program as activities are adaptable to different age groups. Siblings and students of varied ages can learn and thrive together in this inclusive environment.

About Our Founders
Global Roots Academy is a virtual worldschool program that was founded by The Bennett Family, inspired by their three sons, Caidyn (10), Cash (6), and Caiyo (4). After traveling full time for over a year, the brothers noticed a lack of diversity in the travel space. Global roots was birthed from the imagination of these three young minds seeking a resolution to this disheartening discovery. As a family, they've come together to support the boys mission in creating an outlet for BIPOC children to experience travel and gain a global education.
We welcome you to be a part of the Global Roots family and help us inspire the next generation of global citizens.
We believe that traveling is a life-changing experience that broadens one's perspective and enriches their understanding of different cultures, people, and places. We aspire to provide this experience to children who might not have the means to travel.
Our project seeks to travel to different countries to conduct research, create valuable content, and partner with educators and contributors to curate an experience like no other. We aim to collect diverse perspectives, cultural insights, and in-depth knowledge to craft a learning journey that transcends borders and allows children to travel in their minds.
We believe that technology can enable us to transcend physical barriers and create an experience that is both immersive and interactive. Children will be able to visit different countries, explore their history, culture, and traditions, and engage with locals in an authentic way.
